No mercy. No peace. This is war.

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

Teaser trailer

Set up as a tease to the final trailer, we reached out to the Heston and Faulkner Estates to gain permission to use the VO from a famous Heston speech originally used to open the Reagan Library. The concept was to show the rise and ultimate cracks in the drive to build society as we know it. Dodge Ram with the loss of power.

ORIGINAL CONTENT

We were looking for compassion when it came to such a heavy WAR title and the materials out weren't showing that aspect. Goodall was a natural fit and she was open to working with us. We had her record a read from an original script, written through listening to hours of her prior speaking engagements and writings (pure joy actually), and naturally blended the real world with the fictional.

THE ART

So much goes into making the films and as we watch dailies you understand the process and what it takes to transform the reality into a true piece of art. Andy Serkis has perfected the craft of embodying a character that will ultimately look nothing like whats captured through the lens. Not only does this piece help let the viewer understand what the physical process is, but the emotional. This is Andys last portrayal of Caesar, we wanted to do a piece that captured his talent.
